 Dade Amateur Golf Championship

November 18-20, 2022

 

The 2019 USGA & The R&A Rules of Golf govern play. The complete text of Rules may be found in the current “Rules of Golf” and “Committee Procedures.” Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition for Stroke play is 2 strokes.

Format: 36 Holes of Individual Stroke Play    

                                                                                  

Play Pace of Play: 4 hours; 30 minutes. Each player will have 40 seconds to hit their shot. 1st breach- WARNING; subsequent breach(s) 1 stroke penalty

 

Caddies/Players: Players/Caddies may walk or take a motorized cart. Caddies & players may ride together.

 

NO SPECTATOR CARTS ARE ALLOWED

 

Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes and/or boundary fence posts on the course side points at ground level, and white lines. Hole #3 -the ground beyond the opposite side of the penalty area right of is OB; Hole #17- the right side of the cart path near and including the Maintenance building area defined by white stakes/lines. Hole #17- any play left of the water to hole #13 is Internal OB and is defined by the waters-edge of that hole. The outside perimeter of the course and surfaced-area behind holes #9, #18, not including the practice putting green.

 

Drop Zones: there are NO drop zones

 

Penalty Areas: ALL WATER AREAS are to be treated as RED LINE/STAKE. Note: if no Red Line/Stakes use the natural ground contours of the slope to determine the margin. 

 

GPS/Lasers: (without Slope or with Slope turned off) are permitted.

 

Bunkers: Rocks, Stones, Leaves in bunkers are all movable no penalty. Rake bunkers after playing.

 

Abnormal Course Conditions: May or may not be defined by enclosed white lines. (Ground Under Repair) Other areas of GUR may exist even when not marked.

 

Etiquette: 1. Drive carts on cart paths or 90 degrees on par 4s & 5s. CART PATH ONLY par 3s; 2. Fill divots with sand and repair ball marks on putting greens; rake bunkers or smooth out footprints after play.

 

Penalty for any Serious Breach is subject to a warning followed by possible disqualification for repeated serious breaches.

 

Equipment: 1. Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect

 

Scoring: Next to the Pro Shop

 

Close of Competition: is final when a winner has been announced or in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee

 

Playoff: in the event of a playoff, holes #1 and #9 will be played in secession until a winner is determined

 

Suspension of Play Due to a Dangerous Situation: Discontinue Play Immediately: One prolonged signal note

 

Rules Committee reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to dismiss any player, caddy, or spectator at any time and for any reason during the event
